Who We Are

IPA is here to pick up where others left off. Officially established in 2016, we as a team have over a combined 125 years of experience, offering specializations in product engineering, equipment refurbishing, and contract manufacturing. Our staff has designed, manufactured, and commissioned roll compaction systems throughout the world. We look forward to sharing our experiences and learning from yours, guiding us to efficient problem solving and project design that best suits your company.

We have a variety of strengths that allow us to work with the global market, in areas such as Asia, Europe, and the United States to date. Now, IPA is humbled to have the opportunity to personally work with you. Our staff consists of multiple experienced individuals who enjoy working directly with customers to collaborate and provide quality services and interactions:

Project Engineer – Jerry Cain, President

Jerry Cain has 25+ years of experience in the powder processing field with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Purdue University. He has an in depth knowledge of roll compactors and size reduction for the global pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, chemical, and food industries. He specializes in field trouble shooting through System Data Analysis and has developed an analytical system to determine equipment starting point parameters from powder characterization. Jerry has given multiple presentations on these topics both globally and as guest lecturer to graduate students at Purdue University.

Previous work history includes 7 years at Prater Industries, 14 of 19 years as a System Process Design Engineer for roll compaction projects at The Fitzpatrick Company, the last 3 years as a Powder Process Consultant for CPPC, Inc., and the last 2 years as President of IPA.

Shop Manager – John Stoch

John Stoch has 20+ years of experience manufacturing Food, Pharmaceutical, and Industrial processing equipment. Majority of this time he spent working closely with engineering for design improvements of large roll compaction systems and size reduction equipment. John has 5 years of training and instructing in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma Kaizen, and Supply Chain Apics experience.

John’s previous work History includes Manufacturing Manager for the Fitzpatrick Company. Here, he coordinated everyday production of highly custom engineered processing equipment across all production departments (fabrication, welding, polishing, machine shop, electrical controls, maintenance and assembly.) Additionally, he was Process/Manufacturing Engineer for the Fitzpatrick Company, working directly with mechanical and electrical engineering departments to create best practice lean manufacturing of all parts and routing of parts; also coordinating a team of outside vendors to process outside services and purchased parts.

Mechanical Engineer – Mike Stachowicz

Mike Stachowicz has 29 years of experience in the machine design field with a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has 19+ years of design experience with roll compactors and size reduction equipment for the global pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, chemical, and food industries. He designed a new family series of pharmaceutical compactors for the Fitzpatrick company to incorporate high containment rating, ease of use, cleanabilty, & disassembly. Mike is highly knowledgeable in stress analysis including fatique and finite element analysis as well as highly proficient with Solidworks 3D solid modeling.

Mike’s previous work history includes design of high speed can-making equipment and semi-automated LVDT gauges using statistical process control for Crown, Cork, & Seal Company. He has also worked for the Silbrico Corporation designing large scale Perlite plant layouts from start of process to finished bagging (including design of large scale factory beam structures).
